Handing in that piece of coursework, clearing that row of Tetris blocks, finally completing that video game - we all love the satisfaction of completing something.

Between the Monday 1st and Friday 12th of February Middlesex will be celebrating that completed it feeling with a fortnight of activities in the Quad, including retro arcades, big screen video games and plenty of prizes up for grabs.

So what's it all in aid of? From next week final year students at Middlesex will be invited to complete something especially important - the National Student Survey, or NSS.

The NSS gives these students the chance to anonymously feed back about their time at Middlesex and let future students know about their experience here.

The short survey is conducted independently every year by the Higher Education Funding Council (HEFC), and is completed at universities across the UK. It includes a range of questions within eight categories, and lets your university and students’ union know what you have enjoyed about your experience at Middlesex and how you feel it could be further enhanced.

The feedback you give is extremely valuable to both future and current students, telling the university what it's strengths are and where it needs to improve. For example, as a direct result of NSS comments from previous years, Middlesex has invested £1m in library resources, and started a free print and copy service. 

Over 3,000 Middlesex students are eligible to complete the survey this year, and it only takes a few minutes to fill in. You can either complete the survey in the Quad between the 1st and 12th February, or complete it in your own time online.

Unless you're in your final year you won't be able to complete the survey, though all students are welcome to enjoy the NSS activities in the Quad throughout the fortnight.
