The first Student Leaders Conference of the year will be taking place this Thursday 3rd November.

The conference is your space as students to meet new people, learn new things, discuss your experience at MDX and shape the work of your Students' Union.

There are lots of reasons to come along - from the experience and contacts you'll gain, to the free snacks - but here are our top five..!

1.  Quizzing your elected officers

Catch up with your MDXSU President and Vice Presidents and see what they've been working on for Middlesex students this term.

2. Getting nostalgic with Lego

One of the workshops is all about building your own SU. Literally. With lego. Enjoying release your inner eight-year-old.

3. Getting inspired by big ideas

You'll get to hear and vote on Ideas for Change - ideas submitted by students which they feel would improve MDX for everyone, eg. installing a student microwave on campus (check).

4.  Meeting some new faces

With an invite list including Student Voice Leaders, Halls Leaders, Liberation Leaders, Society Leaders, and, well, everybody else, this is the perfect opportunity to do some uni networking and get to know some new people.

5. Taking part in something big

Care about student rights? Concerned about cuts to education and rising costs? Come to the Student Leaders Conference to find out how you can get involved in the National Demo with students from across the country later this month...

Fancy it? The conference will take place on Thursday 3rd November in C114 (the College Building), meeting on the mezzanine in the Quad from 5.30pm.

It's free to attend, and all students are welcome, but you will need to register! Click here to register online now and find out more.
