Here at MDXSU we have the facilities, technology and know-how to help enthusiastic, talented and committed students flourish in the media world, with alumni going on to intern at Newsnight and study MAs at the prestigious City University for Journalism.

We have some great opportunities available - just see below. All new roles will start after the Xmas holidays, and you will receive thorough training on the job. And if your course requires media work experience accreditation, contributing to student media could allow you to fulfill that criteria without even having to leave campus.

THE MDX TIMES NEWSPAPER

Section Editors - for On Campus and Sports pages -

- Responsible for sourcing and collecting all content (text and photo) in their relevant section from writers and photographers.

- Responsible for the layout and design of their section.

- Holds regular section editorial planning meetings with their team.

Writers (unelected) -

- To submit original articles that are well researched and written.

- To adhere to editorial policy and commit to editorial deadlines.

Photographers (unelected) -

- Responsible for photographing key campus events

- Submitting original images relevant to the articles.

- Adhering to editorial policy and commit to editorial deadlines.

Sub-editors (unelected) -

- Correcting all spelling and grammar issues.

- Sub-editing the publication as a whole, ensuring that it meets the MDX style guide requirements

Designers (unelected) -

- To apply design guidelines to submitted copy

- To layout and design all pages of the newspaper to deadline.
