The student led MDXSU Teaching Awards were established in 2014 to recognise and reward the amazing teachers and support staff at Middlesex University.

The Awards are based entirely on student feedback, with students nominating staff in five categories: Most Empowering Teacher, Best Feedback, Most Innovative Teaching, Best Support Staff and Most Inspiring Teacher.

The nominations were looked at by a panel of students and elected MDXSU officers, who then created the shortlist based upon both the quanitity and quality of nominations received. This year, students also felt that a sixth, special award needed to be create for the outstanding contribution given by one of the nominees.
