I started studying BA Accounting and Finance at Middlesex University in October 2017. Since then I have met so many new people from different cultures and backgrounds and made good friends.

I stood to represent my class as a Student Voice Leader and won the election. It was just the start and I was glad I was chosen by my fellow course mates. I attended most meetings and talked with my classmates and the lecturers. I was then elected as the President of Indian Society and organised successful events at the university such as meet and greet, Bhangra Night and Holi.

In February 2018, I stood for Business School Voice Leader and won that election too. My aims include prioritising academic feedback for all modules, have standardised feedback for all graded assignments, to assist the students to make the right optional module choice for the coming years and to have regular talks by professionals to create awareness for work experience opportunities. I look forward to this opportunity where I will be responsible for my school as well as society.

Along with co-curricular achievement, I aced my first-year academics and achieved a first class in all the modules. During the summer, I took up some relevant work experience as a Trainee Accountant at a local accountancy firm as well as doing a Bloomberg course at university.

I was also chosen to become the Student Ambassador and Student Learning Assistant for 2018-2019 in university.  My experience since the start of has been good, exciting and progressive. I look forward to more achievements and opportunities in the following years during my time at university.
