To spread the message about registering to vote for the General Election on June 8, Middlesex Students' Union offered one student the chance to win a four-person holiday to Disneyland Paris!

For their chance to win theprize - which includestravel and accommodation - all students needed to do was show they hadregistered to vote, and share on the #MDXReady2Vote hashtag for extra entries.

Millions of people have registered to vote since the UK General Election was called by Prime Minister Theresa May in April. If you are registered, you will receive a card in the post with your local polling station. Alternatively, you can call your local registration office to check. Click here for more information.

Young people, students and those who have recently moved house were especially less likely to be registered, and as an organisation which represents these groups, we wanted to play our part in tackling this.

The deadline to register to vote was Monday 22 May 2017, and we can now announce the winner of the #MDXReady2Vote draw!
