As part of Raquel Marques Mental Health Campaign, SOS (Stressed Out Students) will provide alternative stress relief methods to practice alongside, in the interim, or to prevent the need for more traditional mental health practices (e.g. counselling therapy). Take some time out of your busy schedule this exam and deadlines period to look after yourself, refresh and recharge,
There will be activities such as: Mental Health First Aid training, therapeutic art, mindfullness sessions, yoga, a cooking class and nutrition workshop (including tips on how to cure a hangover!).

This CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) workshop will offer students affected by low mood and anxiety an opportunity to learn new skills on how to overcome their difficulties and develop a more positive perspective.

Some people call this awareness "mindfulness" - we call it "heartfulness". Heartfulness is a simple system of meditation and relaxation which can be easily integrated into our daily lives. With regular practice, we can achieve a calmer and more balanced life. Anyone and everyone is welcome to try Heartfulness. Come along to learn how you can take steps to develop it in your own life.

Making food choices shouldn’t be stressful, and we can think about how to reduce stress and anxiety in relation food, exercise and self-care. This session, run by a professional nutritionist, will help you to think about making cheap, quick, easy and accessible food choices which can give you energy and boost your mood. We will also look at how you can use food to manage hangovers more effectively, and there’ll be free snacks to try!
