MDXSU has produced a handy guide and a load of resources for Middlesex staff to help you to understand what’s happening and when, and how you can support our MDX student leaders.
The annual Students' Union elections are approaching and many students will be thinking about putting themselves forward to play a key role in shaping their time and the student experience at Middlesex.
Nominations are open now for over fifteen positions, with both full-time, paid and part-time, voluntary roles available. Being a full-time Student Officer or a part-time School Voice Leader is a hugely rewarding experience for students, helping them to learn new skills and boost their CVs, work with students and staff to make change at Middlesex and most crucially hear and act on students' needs, feedback and views.
We would appreciate your help in raising awareness of the elections and encouraging students you know to put themselves forward, and also in being understanding of students who are in the process of standing for election.
Students are able to nominate themselves online until midday Friday 3rd March. All Middlesex students will then be able to vote online and on campus for their chosen candidates between 10am Monday 13th and 1pm Friday 17th March.
We've put together the following resources to help you advertise and encourage these opportunities to students, and we hope you'll take an active part in helping us reach as many students as possible:
· A pack of information and tips and tricks just for staff
· Elections information model lecture slides
· Email template you can send to students
