4 Queer Women panel

A panel of four queer women for queer women (!) Although this SHAG event will be open to everyone, the discussion will concentrate on women’s experience, a topic often ignored within the queer community. Expect discussion of:

 

  • Sexism
  • Erasure
  • Exotification
  • Hate crime
  • Healthy relationships
  • Sex between women
  • Mental health

Tobi Nicole Adebajo

Tobi is a community focused queer hair stylist, activist, poet, performer, singer and writer who centres their work on the depths and nuances of various topics such as love, politics and Yoruba culture. Twitter: @TobiAdebajo

 

Eden Ladley

Eden is a transfeminist and queer activist based at Sheffield Students' Union, where she sits on the LGBT+ Committee and Women's Committee. Xe also represents students in the NUS Trans Campaign on NUS National Executive Council. She is an MA Social Research student, and will be completing xyr dissertation on transfeminine experiences of WLW (Women Loving Women) communities. Twitter: @ladleye

 

Megan Bastable

Megan is a student at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama with a passion for politics, performance, queer activism and feminism. She was also Women’s Officer during the second year of her degree - and now in her final year is the Bisexual Representative on the NUS Women’s Committee. Twitter: @megs_an

 

Pippa Dale

Pippa has spent much of her career working in the financial sector. She has launched Pride, Women’s and Parenting Networks in her company and is now raising the profile of queer women with the new mentoring and role models initiative ‘LBWomen’. Twitter: @thepippadale ; @LBWomenOrg
