The MDXSU Advice service offers independent, confidential advice on a range of academic issues.
At Middlesex Students' Union, we hope the biggest problems you face while at Middlesex are choosing between Costa and Starbucks, or deciding whether to venture to Camden or Soho for your next night out. That being said, if you do have an issue with your course, we are here to help and support you.
The advice we offer is independent of the University, non-judgmental and confidential.
Advisors are available for one-to-one appointments, enabling you to talk in confidence about the issues you are facing. You can arrange to speak confidentially to an advisor by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or by visiting the Students' Union reception downstairs in MDX House. Alternatively, our advisors run drop-in sessions during term-time - watch this space for when and where!
So we can respond to your email as quickly as possible, please include your name, student number, contact telephone number, and a brief outline about the issue that you would like help with, along with who you have spoken to about the issue within the University.
If you arrange to speak to an advisor, you will be invited to come to Middlesex Students' Union downstairs in MDX House, where you will speak to an advisor in a confidential office. The advisor will ask you about the situation, talk you through the process of an appeal or complaint, and will give you time to ask any questions and to talk about how you feel about the process.
