Students rank MDXSU 4th in London for representing their academic interests
We are continuously working on representing your interests as best as we can, so we are very excited to announce that Middlesex University Students' Union (MDXSU) has been ranked 4th out of 24 London higher education providers for representing students' academic interests in the 2026 National Student Survey (NSS).
The result comes from the NSS question asking final-year undergraduate students how well their Students' Union represents their academic interests. MDXSU ranked above the London average, placing behind only the University of West London, Queen Mary University of London and Imperial College London.
The result reflects the impact of student voice at Middlesex, and how well we work in partnership with the University to influence positive change across the student experience.
Commenting on the results, MDXSU Education Officer Temi Osinubi said:
"These results show the impact of genuine partnership between students, the Students' Union and University. The improvements we've seen reflect the work of students and staff coming together to make real change.
None of this would be possible without our Student Voice Leaders, Group Leaders and Student Executive Officers who have worked alongside staff on the things that matter to students, and it shows: students shaping their own experience and making meaningful change, not just receiving it.
We're proud of the progress we've made together and while we celebrate this success, we remain committed to working with students and staff to make the Middlesex experience even better."
Thank you to every student who completed the survey and to everyone who has contributed to strengthening student voice at Middlesex. We'll continue working in partnership with students and the University to ensure your voices are heard and to make meaningful improvements to the student experience.
