On Thursday 4 April 2019, MDXSU welcomed guests to the annual Student-Led Teaching Awards (SLTA) to celebrate excellent teaching, support and partnership across the university.
For its sixth consecutive year, the awards recognise the incredible staff at Middlesex University, as decided by the students of Middlesex University themselves.
Members of staff were nominated by students in several categories - recognising great feedback, inspirational lecturers and employability-focused work - with student representatives and key members of staff deciding the final shortlist for each award. An MDXSU Partnership Award was also given, recognising staff who have committed to supporting and promoting the work of Middlesex Students' Union this year.
The SLTA are a key opportunity for Middlesex students to show their appreciation to the amazing teachers and staff, and, as all the winners and shortlisters made clear on the night, the biggest reward of their work is the students' lives they inspire.
Read on to find out the results, or click here for photos from the event. Thank you again to the hundreds of students who placed nominations, and congratulations to all the staff who were nominated and who won!
Don't forget to watch out for the results from the MDXSU Awards, where outstanding students are nominated by Middlesex students and staff on their achievements over the past academic year. The shortlist will be announced on Wednesday 10 April, with the winners announced at the ceremony on Thursday 2 May.
