Coming to the MDXSU Haunted House Party this Thursday 27th October?

We've got some outfit inspiration for you, with plenty of DIY-friendly options too - no excuses!

There will be a prize in store on Thursday for the best costume, so dress to impress...

 1. Stranger Things

Did you binge-watch Stranger Things this summer? The supernatural theme is perfect for Halloween, and there are so many retro-dressed characters to riff off.

My buddy is Eleven for Halloween

2. Killer Selfie
Bring your favourite Snapchat filters into the real world, whether you go for something scary or just recreate that flower crown/golden butterfly look you're never seen without...

3. Skeleton

A Halloween classic whether you invest in a ready-made outfit or get creative with some black clothing and some paper/paint. Just FYI, there's an 85% chance this outfit will involve a onesie or at least leggings #maximumcomfort #sold

4. Wednesday Addams

Plaits... Black dress... A sizable helping of cynicism and misanthropy... done.

5. Stitched Up

Although not a full costume as such, this simple idea is a creative way of adding a touch of terror to any outfit. Also gives you the perfect excuse to avoid talking to someone... Not that you'd want to do that...

6. Ventriloquist Dummy

Grab yourself a shirt and a bowtie, stick on some face paint and voila! Halloween ready.

7. Two Faced

This probably wins the award for the trippiest costume on our list. Perfect if you've got a great outfit you want to wear, but still want to creep people out just a little bit...

8. Zombie

An oldie but a goodie, and totally DIY-friendly too. Pick up some fake blood and crack out the smokey-eye kit and give yourself a morbid makeover.

9. Game of Thones

There's loads of scary inspiration to be found in Westeros, from White Walkers to Joffrey to certain weddings... For a basic take on the theme, wear a sheet and dress as your favourite deceased character (there are quite a few...)

10. Beheaded

As students, you know the best way to succeed is to stay a-head of schedule... Should you end up with your head in your hands, at least it'll make a good Halloween look.

Whether you take inspiration from our top ten or conjure up an idea of your own, make sure you've got your outfit sorted before Thursday!

Thursday's MDXSU Haunted House Party is free with an Annual Events Pass. Advance tickets are available online now for £4 - limited numbers remaining. £5 tickets will be available on the door.
