WHAT IS STUDENT COUNCIL?

Student Council is the platform for any Middlesex University Student to voice their concerns, hold the elected officers to account and vote on any ideas that make your time at university the best it can be! Students  views are at the centre of everything we do, so we want to make sure every student has the opportunity to make change within their Students' Union and their university experience.

WHAT HAPPENS AT STUDENT COUNCIL?

During Student Council, members present can:

• Give updates and feedback about the things they are working on.
• Discuss, organise, and support campaign, events and projects and ideas.
• Debate idea proposals, and vote on whether to approve them to become the political policy of the union.

WHO ATTENDS STUDENTS’ UNION COUNCIL?

Any Middlesex Student can attend and submit an idea to Student Council and voice their concerns on the topics being discussed. However, only appointment or elected Council members are eligible to vote.

FREQUENCY OF MEETINGS

There shall be a minimum of four meetings to be held this academic year with an additional meeting to be held as the unions Annual General Meeting.
