My first term as a sabbatical officer
Hey everyone! Being a Uni Helper has been super exciting, and I wanted to share the cool stuff I've been up to. It's like a story of making our university a better place, step by step.
First off, I had a blast celebrating Black History Month! I organized two awesome events that were all about supporting black liberation. It wasn't just events; it was like throwing a party to celebrate our diverse community and learn from each other.
Then, in November, I focused on something really important: mental health and fitness. I joined the Movember campaign, and it was way more than just growing mustaches! I talked about mental health, broke some stereotypes, and got everyone involved in staying fit.
Working with different student groups was like creating a big team of superheroes. I teamed up with them to organize events smoothly, making sure everyone had a great time. It's like putting together a fantastic puzzle where every piece fits perfectly.
I even jumped into the podcast world! Teaming up with Brooke, I chatted about mental health topics. It was like having a friendly chat about important stuff, and I hoped it made everyone feel more connected.
And you know what? I made sure no one felt lost. If students needed help, I pointed them in the right direction – like guiding them to Unihub and support teams. Everyone should feel supported, right?
So, my journey as a Uni Helper is all about growing, making a positive impact, and working together for fairness. Each thing I do is like adding a cool color to our university story.
This isn't just my story; it's our story. Together, we're exploring new things, facing challenges, and celebrating wins. Being a Uni Helper is more than a title – it's a promise to make our university awesome for everyone. And guess what? Our story is just getting started!
