'Why Not' meet your Black Students Group

There are four MDXSU Liberation Groups, concentrating on the rights of students who face discrimination and are often underrepresented and disadvantaged during their time at University, either in their education or in wider society.

The MDXSU Black Students group aims to represent and make changes for students of African, Arab, Asian or Caribbean heritage both within Middlesex University and nationally.

Over the past year the Assembly has worked hard to influence Students’ Union policy, as well as contributing to discussions on a national level. They have worked on the #RefugeesWelcome campaign - which led to the resettlement of fifty vulnerable Syrian refugees in our local borough of Barnet - and a lobbying campaign to ensure that MDXSU and Middlesex University takes a stance against the Government’s PREVENT agenda.

Come along and meet the group, and find out more about what they're working on!
