The results of this week’s MDXSU Student Group Elections are in!

Following on from our most successful Student Group Election in March 2020 - we supported over 30 Student Groups these past weeks to take part in a by-election for available roles on their committees.

Student Group Leaders are responsible for working as a committee to lead their particular Society, Liberation group or Student Media platform. 93 candidates ran to be a student leader across 31 Student Groups, and 130 student group members voted in this election, with a total of 480 votes cast.

Due to the implications of COVID-19, all voting and campaigning took place online.

Congratulations to the students who have been elected to their positions. The students who were not elected still have the chance to be involved in their society and are encouraged to continue being an active part of their student group. You can view the results of this election here. Individual count sheets can be made available upon request at elections@mdx.ac.uk.

Although our Student Groups By-Election has now finished, we still have many other opportunities for students to get involved with. Nominations are open for Student Voice Leader positions, Union Council Representatives and NUS Delegates. For more information about these elections, click here.
