We have had an amazing year – where’s the time gone?!
We wanted to share a few of our favourite moments you’ve helped us achieve this year.
It’s only going to get better and we hope you get even more involved in the next academic year.
This included raising money for sexual health charity Terrance Higgins Trust by inviting Drag Queen on campus for a Night of Controversy and conducting focus groups for students who wanted to help shape the sexual harassment reporting system on campus.
Your Student Voice Leaders has worked hard to increase employment support on courses, invited new guest lectures, increased practice-based learning, peer review sessions, fairer deadlines and improved communication between MDX students and staff...that's what we call #SVLWins
We worked with the university to transform CG42 into a microwave station! Which means you could avoid spending your pennies on campus and plan your hot meals ahead.
For two months, we piloted a range of activities to help you de-stress during exams and deadlines. Hundreds of you downloaded our well-being guide, grabbed freebies and took part in a range of free activities to help you be the best version of you – including, study support, henna tattooing, massages, boxing and tons more! – we're already planning on helping you chill-out more next year!
We teamed up with Love Not Landfill to acquire a clothes bank on campus so you can donate your unwanted clothes and avoid letting them rot in landfills or burned in incinerators releasing harmful toxins into our atmosphere. Find it outside MDX House all-year-round and help make our planet a more cleaner pleace.
Your current VP of Business & Law was elected NUS Vice President of Union Development, meaning Erica will carry on making sure your student experience is a priority on a national level!
We’re proud of Erica feat for the full-time position at NUS, winning everyone over with her fierce ‘Roar for Erica’ campaign and inspiring speech. Watch them below.

Lucy is currently working with the housing team on creating a new Housing Guide to help make your living experience a bit more homey.
This year we placed 4 MDX students on paid placements, with more to come soon!
