It’s officially the spring term break and if you’re staying in London this bank holiday weekend and beyond there are loads of cool things to do that don’t involve revising in the Sheppard Library (you’re probably doing a lot of that already).

Keep yourself motivated and get some vitamin D by giving yourself a break in the sun - take an afternoon off, go outside with some friends, check out the area's many natural beauty spots and feel ready to take on those textbooks!

1. Visit beautiful Trent Park, Middlesex’s old campus

The house is a fascinating historical site - in the last hundred years alone it was home to First World War poet Siegfried Sassoon and a prisoner-of-war camp for high-ranking Nazis in the Second. More recently, it's been Middlesex University's campus, right up until our relocation to Hendon 2012. The grounds, founded in the 14th centry, are over 3km square - making it easy to have a picnic in a quiet corner, or even an Easter egg hunt.

Seeking more of an adrenaline rush? Sign up for a tree-top ziplining adventure with Trent Park's GoApe team - full details here.

...then grab a savoury or sweet lunch at La Creperie, an inexpensive yet gourmet fast-food institution in Hampstead for over 30 years that attracts all kinds of famous fans, including Kate Moss, Mila Kunis and Harry Styles.

Or if you're psyched about staying in to hit the books, you can always opt to fuel your efforts with a little bit of egg-shaped chocolate. Remember to pick up an NUS Extra card - it'll knock 10% off the price of all items stocked at the Hendon Way Co-op; easter eggs are just the start.
