Important: MDX Students Targeted by StuDocu

Wednesday 18-04-2018 - 13:02

Students around the country - including at Middlesex University - are being targeted by a company called StuDocu to upload documents, including past exam papers and coursework, in return for a payment.

Uploading materials to the site or purchasing assignments from other students is in breach of student regulations and could lead to disciplinary action being taken.

In addition to this, using details of University assignments for indirect or direct commercial use is in breach of intellectual property and copyright laws.

We strongly advise all Middlesex students to avoid any engagement with the company.

Purchasing an assignment could result in plagiarism charges and disciplinary action. If you are concerned about upcoming assignments or exams, we encourage you to utilise the free support offered to all Middlesex students by the Learning Enhancement Team - including workshops, one-to-ones and resources. There is also a deferral process for those who have encountered extenuating circumstances and are looking to extend deadlines.

Similarly, uploading any materials could also result in disciplinary action, and put your grades and studies at risk - as well as those of other students.

Students who have been contacted by the company (or seen online advertisements from them) should report these to the University by emailing: communications@mdx.ac.uk
