Term: 1 or 2 years, 1st July 2021-30th June 2022/23
Hours: Part-time (Volunteer, approximately 30hrs a year)
Location: Middlesex University London, Hendon
This is a part-time role open to all registered Middlesex University London students, student trustees must be students alongside doing the role.
As a non-profit, charitable organisation, the work of Middlesex Students' Union is overseen by a Trustee Board - MDXSU's highest governing body.
If you love the idea of making high-level decisions for an award-winning organisation with 18,000 members, or you want to learn more about business and strategy in a real environment (or maybe put your existing knowledge to good use), then this is the position for you.
If elected as one of our Student Trustees, you will attend Trustee Board meetings roughly twice a term throughout the year, sitting alongside the four full-time Student Officers and our expert external trustees to discuss finances, strategy and long term goals for your Students' Union.
This is a part-time student role, which you can fulfill alongside your studies.
If you’re interested in applying for this role, you’ll need to follow these steps:
You can then submit your manifesto after nominations close by emailing elections@mdx.ac.uk
Once nominations have closed, we will be running a week of candidate development where you can attend workshops to help you with public speaking, writing a manifesto and campaigning.
Voting then opens on Monday 15th until Thursday 18th February. During this period, students will be able to vote for which candidates they want to be elected – and you’ll have the chance to tell them why it should be you!
