Student Partnership Board Member

Available Positions: Multiple roles
Contract: Casual, up to 20 hours per semester
Salary: London Living Wage
Location: Hendon Campus

About the Role

The Student Partnership Board brings together a diverse group of students to inform and challenge MDXSU's and the University's work on improving the student experience. This is a flexible, paid opportunity to make a real impact on your university community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend Student Partnership Board meetings and Union Council meetings
  • Contribute to improving the student experience through focus groups and consultations
  • Represent diverse student voices and lived experiences
  • Work in partnership with students and staff from various backgrounds

Student Trustee

Available Positions: 2 roles (1 year or 2 year term)
Term: 25th January 2026 - 30th June 2027 or 2028
Hours: Part-time (Volunteer, approximately 30 hours per year)
Location: Middlesex University London, Hendon
Deadline: January 12, 2026

Who can become a Student Trustee?

This is a part-time role open to all registered Middlesex University London students. Student trustees must be students alongside doing the role.

Student Trustee Responsibilities

As a non-profit, charitable organisation, the work of Middlesex Students' Union is overseen by a Trustee Board - MDXSU's highest governing body.

If you love the idea of making high-level decisions for an award-winning organisation with 12,000 members, or you want to learn more about business and strategy in a real environment (or maybe put your existing knowledge to good use), then this is the position for you.

If elected as one of our Student Trustees, you will:

  • Attend Trustee Board meetings roughly twice a term throughout the year
  • Sit alongside the three full-time Student Officers and expert external trustees
  • Discuss finances, strategy and long-term goals for your Students' Union
  • Fulfill this part-time student role alongside your studies
