Our intern roles are open to all students at Middlesex University and we are open to flexible working, in order to cater to students with caring responsibilities or commuting commitments. 


Student Photographers & Videographers

We’re looking for a confident individual who is interested in and/or has qualifications in photography or videography. You must be able to work in busy bustling nightlife environments with big crowds and required to be friendly and confident enough to approach groups and different types of people and expected to capture what is needed.

Advice Advocate

Part-time, Fixed Term until 1st July
1 day per week (or 2 half days)
Location: Normally Located on the Hendon Campus, North London
Salary: London Living Wage of £10.55 per hour
Working with: The Advocacy & Policy Team


The Role
We are looking for three highly organised students to work with our Independent Advice Service. Our Advice Advocates work to promote the service by organising outreach and awareness activities as well as supporting students. Our Advice Advocates will be critical in providing support to students through workshops and one-to-one & group support.



  1. Promote the Independent Advice Service to students by organising outreach and awareness activities.
  2. Observe casework appointments and take accurate notes of key issues relating to the case and its progress.
  3. Support students in understanding the University regulations and provide relevant guidance in order to deal with their issues/ case.
  4. Undertake research and gather information to support the reporting of the service on reoccurring issues and trends in the Advice Service.
  5. Maintain a database of student issues.

This scheme provides Middlesex Students paid opportunities to put their studies and skills in practice by helping out in local businesses, faith and community groups. Each placement is approx. 4 hrs per week for 6 weeks and pays £10.55 per hour. See below for available roles and Click the link below for more info.

All of our platforms are student-run and include an award-winning student publication, a blossoming TV station and the ever-popular radio station. Contributors get access to specialist equipment and our media studio, and those who get really involved - as an editor with the newspaper or with a weekly slot on the radio station, for example - will have access to special training workshops and opportunities to attend external media events, conferences and awards. However, Student Media at MDXSU isn't just for editors and DJs - all Middlesex students are welcome to contribute regardless of your time commitment.
