Part-time Opportunities & Internships

We currently have a range of intern roles available to support the work of MDXSU. The roles are only open for applications from students studying at Middlesex University. We are open to flexible working, in order to cater to students' caring or commuting commitments. All student intern roles will operate remotely, but will be fully supported and supervised by MDXSU full time staff.  


Student Groups Intern

Accountable to Student Groups Coordinator
Salary London Living Wage of £10.85 an hour
Contract Part time, fixed term until April 2022
Hours 14 hours a week (ideally across 2 days) - to be completed Monday - Friday
Location Middlesex University Hendon campus, North London - Currently Working From Home

Kickstart Scheme

We are proud to announce that we are taking part of the Kickstart Scheme starting this August 2021. If you are interested in any of the roles below, please contact your local Jobcentre for further information on how to apply.
 
What is the Kickstart Scheme?
The Kickstart Scheme funds 6 months work placements for young people aged 16-24, deemed at risk of long-term unemployment due to the Coronavirus. This 6 months placement is funded by the DWP and as we are a London Living Wage Employer, we will ensure you are paid the current London Living Wage hourly rate.

Photographer & Videographer Opportunities

Throughout the year, we offer paid photographer and videographer opportunities to shoot and film MDXSU's events and activities. If you're interested, please email m.kiley@mdx.ac.uk your portfolio or examples of relevant work experience. 

 

Community Placements

MDXSU provides Middlesex students paid opportunities to put their studies and skills into practice by helping in local businesses, faith and community groups. The scheme is aimed to make Barnet a better place to live for everyone - with Middlesex students, the university, local organisations and the students' union all benefiting from the initiative.
