It’s that time of year again - nominations are now open for the 2016 MDXSU Teaching Awards!

Since the first Teaching Awards in 2014 we’ve had thousands of student nominations for hundreds of members of staff, allowing us to find out what you value in teachers and staff, and rewarding and recognising the MDX staff who go above and beyond for students. You can find out what happened at last years awards here.

So how does it work?

Our Teaching Awards are fully student led. This means that all nominations, shortlisting and judging is done by students. Nominations are now open for the five categories, and you can nominate as many teachers in as many categories as you want.

What are the categories?

Our awards each recognise a different feature of what makes your time at university great.

If you want to nominate your teacher for something specific, we have awards for feedback, innovation and empowering partnership. We also have a ‘support staff’ category for those people who make their impact outside of the classroom. If you think your teacher goes above and beyond and is an inspiration to you and the other people around you, then nominate them for the Most Inspiring Teacher awards.

Okay, let’s do this!

You can nominate online using this link. Nominations are open until Friday 26th February - don't leave it too late!

Remember, it’s quality not quantity of nominations that matter. Try and be as specific as you can about what exactly it is that they do that makes them a good candidate for this award. If the teacher you have nominated is shortlisted for the award, then we will invite you along to the awards ceremony and dinner, so you get a free dinner and a chance to get your gladrags on. Win win!
