Standing with students following the recent events in the Middle East

Monday 02-03-2026 - 11:38

We know that the ongoing situation in the Middle East may be worrying or distressing for many people in our community. Some of you may have personal connections to the region, while others may be feeling the impact of seeing or hearing about events in the news or online. We want to acknowledge that times like these can affect people in many different ways, and our thoughts are with everyone who may be feeling the impact.

At MDXSU, we are here to support all students and represent your interests. We encourage everyone in our community to approach these conversations and moments with care, empathy and respect for one another.

If you are feeling overwhelmed or would like someone to talk to, please remember to reach out to family, friends, fellow students or people you trust within your community.

You can also contact the MDXSU Advice Service, which offers free, confidential and independent support for Middlesex students or the University’s services, which also provide emotional support to students.
