London Mayoral Assembly with Barnet Citizens

On Thursday 6th May Londoners will vote in the Mayoral Elections 2021. If you're not sure who to vote for, come along to the London Mayoral Assembly to find out more.

As we approach this year's London Mayoral Elections, MDXSU will be attending the London Mayoral Assembly organised by Citizens UK. London Citizens have designed a manifeso, designed by Londoners, with the following priorities:

  • Housing and homelessness
  • Youth safety
  • Living Wage
  • A welcoming London for migrants
  • Just transition: green jobs

You can read the manifesto in full here or check it out in video format here.

On Wednesday 28th April, London Citizens will be putting this manifesto to both the Conservative and Labour candidates for Mayor of London and asking them to commit to the issues above. This is an excellent opportunity to hear from both candidates on issues that Londoners care about, and find out more from the candidates before voting on Thursday 6th May.

The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic means London can no longer wait for change. Without your support, we cannot win. Will you join us on the 28th April?

This event is open to Middlesex students and is completely free to attend. You'll be sent a link to join, in advance of the event taking place. We'll be joining up with other organisations from Barnet Citizens to come together and view the event as a community.

If you haven't yet registered to vote, make sure you do before the 19th April. Full details on how to register to vote, and who can vote can be found here.
