Have you ever wondered what sign language is and why it might be important? Well this society is for you! 

We offer a range of informal classes and activities to help students gain a basic knowledge of sign language (free for members). It's a great apportunity to learn British Sign Language (BSL) in a fun environment while learing about deaf community and culture. In addition to this we have some lip reading activities and much much more!

As well as raising awareness one of our main goals is to champion a campaign to add BSL as a GCSE language learning option for schoolchildren!
