MDXSU Autumn Election Results 2020

Aug elections results event listing 07

The results of last week’s MDXSU Autumn Elections are in!

Last week, you voted to elect those who will represent you on Union Council at NUS Conferences on your programme, and as part of the Student Group Executive Committee in our Union Council, NUS Delegate, Student Voice Leader and Student Group Executive Committee elections. Due to the implications of Covid-19, all voting and campaigning took place online.

Overall, 111 candidates took part in these elections and contested for the 53 different positions available. Over 850 votes were cast across the elections.

There were 10 contested Student Voice Leader (SVL) elections. This meant that if the number of nominations received for SVL on any programme / year is equal or less than the number of positions available, then the SVLs who nominated themselves are automatically appointed. There were also a number of programmes not open for nominations this Autumn due to a high number of SVLs opting to continue in their roles. Successful SVLs will hear from our Student Voice team about training and what they need to do for this week. Any questions regarding Student Voice Leaders positions should be directed to studentvoice@mdx.ac.uk.

Congratulations to the students who have been elected to their positions. The successful candidates for each position are listed below.
